Green Phantom Quartz Crystal Cluster Value Guide

This Brazilian Green Phantom Quartz is a remarkable specimen featuring chlorite-induced ghostly outlines and a rare central orange inclusion. Its unique formation process, where secondary growth encapsulates earlier crystal stages, makes it a highly sought-after piece for mineral collectors and spiritual practitioners alike.

What affects the value of Green Phantom Quartz Crystal Cluster?

• The presence and clarity of the internal 'phantom' shapes significantly increase the market value of the cluster.
• The rarity of the central orange inclusion adds a unique color contrast that elevates the price point to the $250-$275 range.
• Overall crystal transparency and the lack of damage to the termination points are critical for appraisal.
• The size and aesthetic arrangement of the cluster points influence its desirability for display purposes.

How to Identify Green Phantom Quartz Crystal Cluster?

• Look for the distinct 'phantom' layers where green chlorite outlines the shape of a smaller crystal inside the larger structure.
• Verify the origin as Brazil, which is renowned for producing high-quality quartz with these specific chlorite inclusions.
• Examine the central orange inclusion to ensure it is naturally embedded within the quartz matrix rather than a surface coating.
• Check for the natural cluster formation, showing multiple points growing from a shared base rather than individual polished stones.

History of Green Phantom Quartz Crystal Cluster

Phantom quartz crystals are formed when a mineral, such as chlorite or another type of quartz, is deposited on an existing crystal, which then continues to grow, encapsulating the earlier growth. This creates the 'phantom' effect, a ghostly outline of a previous crystal within the current one. These crystals are prized by collectors for their unique visual properties and are often associated with spiritual growth and understanding past lives.
